In the Nordics, we design, supply, install and commission specialised ventilation and life‑safety systems for tunnel environments and other critical infrastructure. As our presence in the region grows, we are looking for an experienced, commercially minded sales leader to join our team and drive business development across the Nordic markets.
About the role
We are seeking a proactive and customer‑focused Sales Manager to lead our tunnels segment in the Nordics. You will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, managing key customer relationships, and working closely with technical, project and delivery teams to convert opportunities into profitable contracts.
This is a field‑facing role with responsibility for market development across Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Nordics. You will balance strategic account development with hands‑on opportunity management and be the primary commercial contact for clients, consultants and partners in the tunnels sector. The ideal candidate is located in Norway.
Key responsibilities
Market & Business Development
Develop and execute the sales strategy for tunnel ventilation and related solutions across the Nordics
Identify new business opportunities, target accounts and partner channels
Represent NOVENCO at industry events, conferences and client meetings
Account & Bid Management
Manage key customer relationships with contractors, operators, and consultants in the tunnels sector
Lead bid and tender processes, coordinating proposals, pricing, technical input and commercial terms
Prepare and present commercial offers, negotiate contracts and close deals
Cross‑functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, project management and service teams to ensure deliverable scope and commercial viability
Provide market feedback to product and engineering teams to support product development and localisation
Ensure smooth handover of projects from sales to delivery and support post‑contract relationship management
Commercial Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts and CRM records; report on sales performance to Nordic management
Develop pricing strategies, risk assessments and commercial proposals aligned with company targets
Support order intake growth while safeguarding margin and contractual terms
What we expect
Essential experience & qualifications
Proven sales experience in tunnel ventilation, tunnel systems, or related infrastructure markets in the Nordics
Track record of winning and managing large projects, tenders or framework agreements
Strong technical understanding of ventilation, smoke control or safety systems, or the ability to quickly acquire technical knowledge
Fluent in English and proficient in at least one Nordic language (Norwegian, Swedish or Danish preferred)
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
Key competencies
Commercially minded with strong negotiation and closing skills
Customer‑centric approach; excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
Self‑motivated, organised and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
Collaborative team player who works effectively with technical and delivery colleagues
Resilient and adaptable in a growing, international organisation
